Contacting The Breeder
If you bought your pet from a reputable, responsible breeder, please contact your breeder first, before placing your animal with anybody else or taking him or her to a shelter. The same goes for animals acquired from rescue organizations, call the organization where you got the animal. This is often written into the contracts you may have signed when you got the animal. Even if the warranties were originally for only a couple of years, and your dog is now 10, call the breeder!
Responsible breeders can not only help with problems, but will most always take back any animal of their breeding, any time, even years later. They truly care about the fates of all the animals they produce. It they themselves cannot take the animal in, they will often arrange for foster care until a good home can be found. This way, you can be more assured that your pet will end up with a person knowledgeable with the breed characteristics, etc... No, you may not get any money refunded. Please do not get into that mind set, money is not the point, is it? The utmost priority is to find an appropriate home for a dog you do not keep. Most responsible breeders cannot afford to pay you back beyond warranties. But your animal will get saved by someone who knows the breed, and can try and get the animal into a good appropriate home.
Do not worry about being judged by the breeder or rescue workers, they are often quite understanding. And, if they are not, if they are judgmental, if they will still help you place your animal, please put aside your pride and work with them anyway. Some breeders and rescue workers have heard too many reasons for giving up an animal too many times, and it's very frustrating for them. This might actually be good sign for you that the breeder truly cares for the animals they produced. Don't forget, your priority is to find a good home for your animal, not your feelings about the breeder or rescue organization, or the breeder's feelings and the rescue worker's feelings about you.
Contract must be SIGNED and Sent before or WITH deposit!

A. To the best of my knowledge, said puppy/dog is in healthy and sound condition at the time of sale. Buyer has 48 hours from the time of delivery/pickup to have a vet check done on said puppy. Vet check must be done by a licensed veterinarian. Buyer is required to have a licensed veterinarian administer two more puppy vaccines to said puppy if not already given by the breeder. Parvo and distemper vaccines must be given at two to four week intervals following first vaccine given by the breeder. If Buyer fails to have the vet check done within 48 hours or fails to continue the vaccines as stated above, any and all obligations offered by the seller to replace said dog/puppy for any reason will be considered null and void. Keep all medical records and shot records from your vet.
B. All puppies/dogs are sold as PET QUALITY ONLY. This does not mean they are not show/breed quality, but they are sold with no registration rights. Purchaser agrees to neuter/spay the puppy by his/her 6th month of age. Purchaser agrees to supply Seller with a veterinarian's letter by certified mail as proof of a neuter/spay within 7 days. If Purchaser fails to neuter/spay this puppy and provide proof to the Seller by one year of age, rights and ownership of the dog will automatically terminate and revert back to Seller who may immediately assume possession of the dog. Seller's reasonable attorney's fees for recovery of the dog will be paid by the Purchaser.
Why spay/neuter: Fixing your dog prevents pregnancy and the birth of unwanted puppies. It avoids the need to restrain the dog during estrus. It keeps both sexes from roaming away from your house in search of a mate. It reduces the tendency of male dogs to urinate in the house, marking his territory. Licensing fees are also cheaper. Additionally, it helps avoid reproductive-related problems such as tumors, pyometra, false pregnancy, prostate infections, and old-age cancers.
C. Health guarantee does not cover any parasite, internal or external, as these are treatable conditions.
The Buyer agrees to maintain preventative health care of the puppy and/or dog including, but not limited to: inoculations, internal as well as external parasites, heartworm preventative medication. The Buyer agrees to maintain preventative care of the puppy and/or dog in regards to hip dysplasia, such as proper nutrition, proper exercise, and preventing stress injuries (i.e. not allowing the puppy to jump from heights taller than itself at the shoulder, no forced exercise such as running, until at least 18 months of age.)
D. Only untreatable, fatal genetic diseases or defects will be considered. Each case is dealt with individually at the discretion of the Seller. At NO TIME will Seller refund money, and Seller is in no way responsible for any vet bills made after puppy/dog leaves the care of Sharon Aussies Mini Australian Shepherds. In the event that a problem should arise with said puppy/dog, it shall be replaced with a puppy of equal value from the next available litter, provided that said puppy/dog has been returned to the Seller in the same condition as it was sold. Buyer must provide a letter and all medical records from all licensed veterinarians that have seen the puppy/dog that states the condition of puppy/dog. Seller has the right to consult another veterinarian. SELLER WILL NOT REFUND MONEY IN ANY SITUATION. Shipping is always the responsibility of Buyer, even in the event a puppy is to be sent back and/or replaced. Any and all vet bills are the responsibility of Buyer with NO EXCEPTIONS. THERE WILL BE NO REFUND GIVEN IF A BUYER "CHANGES HIS/HER MIND". Buying a puppy is a huge responsibility....please BE SURE!!! We will gladly take the puppy back, and possibly trade it for a different puppy, depending on the situation, but there will be NO REFUNDS.
E. All shipping costs related to any puppy/dog being purchased, as well as in relationship to any puppy/dog being replaced for any reason, are the responsibility of the Buyer. Seller shall not be responsible for death or injury of any puppy/dog due to negligence or carelessness of any airline or other live animal carrier, it's agents or employees, or the Buyer.
F. This contract is under the jurisdiction of the State of Florida. In the event of any dispute, it is agreed the place of venue shall be Polk County, Florida. I, the undersigned Buyer, have read, understand, and agree with all of the terms and conditions set forth in this contract. I have read Florida Statute, section 828.29.
