Final Week

So we are about a week away from BABIES!!! was finding clumps of fur droppings throughout the house...I guess Cloe is shedding her belly fur in preparation for nursing..

Listening to the heartbeats through my stethoscope this evening I can hear strong little heartbeats, and after a nice long belly massage and rub laid my hands on Cloes' belly and just was in total peace feeling little movements in her belly! I cant wait to see my new grandpups!

We are in the final weeks! Still no Colostrum coming in yet so we have a little bit...Cloe is doing GREAT! Filling out more still not huge, but she has another week to go, and this last week has HUGE changes!

Halfway mark

Well Cloe is about at the half way mark, sorry for not keeping up with the blog, but a lot of people do follow the facebook page and I tend to forget to update the blog..All of Emma's puppies went to their new forever homes and are doing GREAT! I've been getting updates and new pics and they are doing wonderfully.

Cloe is getting into the norm of pregnancy finally...her eating is pretty normal now, she has become less grumpy, and getting her new winter coat in. She is looking really nice and full...Not a lot of weight gain yet, but is filling in very nicely...Settling in for the holidays and will be working more on the puppy cabin...Stay tuned for more updates...

Puppies at 3 weeks

The puppies are all doing great...Growing really fast and discovering new and exciting things daily! :) They are a really mellow litter, easy going and the live webcam seems to be a hit with all the parents! Working on their new puppy cabin and coming along pretty quickly...

Parents are getting anxious to finally get the visitation time here so they can hold their little ones! Emma is being a great momma again.

D-Day! Due date today

Well, Emma's temperature dropped about 1:00 am and she has been resting and gone off her food...She is sticking to us like glue, and dragging me with her head motions to the birthing box. She is very restless, panting some but all in all moving along! Hopefully puppies will be here in the daytime and she doesn't go too long. Will be posting pictures and then notifying people on the list. So if you are on the list, be ready to pick out your puppy as others are behind you anxiously waiting to choose theirs! If I do not hear back from you after 24 hrs. you name will move down the list and I will move on to the next in line.

Day 60 and on puppy watch

Officially on puppy watch! We are in the final days and hours before the puppies will be here...Emma is doing well, her milk has started coming in now. She has yet to loose her mucus plug so this weekend is going to be a TRUE LABOR DAY :) She is getting her temps taken several times a day and just waiting for the big drop. She went on day 61 with the big drop on last litter, so keeping a very close eye...

Not leaving anywhere now, as she makes sure to let me know she is not comfortable me leaving her even for a minute! Stay tuned as things will be moving very quickly once she starts pushing babies...Labor can drag on, after the drop we have up to 24 hrs. before we could see puppies...the girls like to take it down to the wire on that one...usually being in labor for about 14-16 hrs. then puppies...

Day 55 and counting

Day 55 and Emma is still doing well, had a few of her previous litter pups over and she was a tad testy with them, as any full term pregnant female would be! ha, but all in all she is doing great! She has really picked up on her eating, and gives a whole new meaning to "free feeding" She has been getting us up every two to three hours in the middle of the night to go potty. Guess the extra weight is making her need to go more often.

Based off her last litter she started with the big temperature drop on day 61 and had the puppies on day 62.
So we are one week away making that big day on LABOR DAY! :) Still have a few spots available so if you are interested, email for an application. Stayed tuned for all the latest developments

Day 48

Well Emma is getting bigger and bigger by the day! Today she is approximately 48 days along! :) with just a little over two more weeks! Labor Day weekend will really be LABOR DAY weekend! Will start taken her temp the last week looking for that drop so we'll know when she will be ready for labor...this is when she will really be getting uncomfortable and much bigger and her milk should start to be coming in by the next week. She is not being her usual playful self, Maddie wants to play and pounce but Emma snarls at her to just leave her alone! even whines a bit as to say would you get her to leave me alone!

All in all she is doing well and trying to just keep her settled and relaxed...

Emmas pregnancy

Well Emma is about a little more than at the half way mark...Been going well, she has been a little more mellow with this pregnancy. Having the extreme heat probably doesn't help with her load she is carrying. She is due approximately Sept. 3rd. Stay tuned for further updates. Puppies are growing and have been a really wonderful litter...They all have super forever homes and I know will be loved beyond belief! I always have just the right parents at just the right time come along and match up perfectly to their pup...It is starting to hit me, that soon it will be very quiet in the house, and I'm trying to let that sink in a bit before it happens. It is always a bitter sweet day for me. Looking forward to the role reversal when it is ME getting the updates and new pictures! :)

Well things are getting a little less crazy

All of Cloe's pups have gone to their new forever homes...All the happy faces and the families so excited..Have had many updates and they are all doing very well with the transition...Had last ones leaving and working on crate training last few days and was able to more Emma's temporary whelping box out, bleach out Cloes and make the transfer of Emma pups into the permanent welping box.

Little "Wally" the runt of the litter had a little go of it and with a little help is growing and thriving! He FINALLY hit the one pound mark...while the others are pushing 2 and a half pounds...Emma is getting into a groove of things and taking to motherhood well...Had many pups available, but are quickly finding new homes...only two little ones left...The start of puppy much for these guys in the next couple of days...:)

About Me..

I'm a mom of 5 boys, all of which are grown and on their own except for my youngest that is 11 yrs. old. We live out in the country and love to spend time with our four legged children and seeing our grandpups! My husband always said I just HAVE to mother something! Wouldn't have it any other way!
