 Well puppies are two weeks old today! And growing, gaining weight, all of them have opened their eyes now and some starting the wobbly walk with their new legs...Momma Cloe is doing awesome as always! We still have one black tri male available, but I'm sure he will not have to wait too long before the right family snatch him up! This is him...

 Well, puppies are doing great! all of them are gaining weight and some have gone a little over the 1 pound mark...making lots of squeaks and grunts and Cloe is being the wonderful momma as usual...Still have one little black tri male available, but I'm sure he will find his forever home soon as well! :)
 Day 1 and we are all getting settled into our routine...Momma Cloe is being the best momma ever! She loves being a momma and makes sure that Ace and Emma stay their distance from HER pups! lol She gives them that "momma look" and they tuck nubby tails and turn away...Babies are doing great! Some gained weight and some you could tell were probably getting knocked off the milk bar...So I keep putting those on momma when I see they are being lazy and not eating up...:) Still have ONE black tri male available, but emails are constantly coming in and I'm sure he'll be gone SOON...        FINALLY! Cloe has had ALL 8 puppies! BEAUTIFUL! I'm getting all the info gathered still and pictures and will be contacting parents...bear with me, I'm running on ZERO sleep, so I am making sure I get everything right before posting! thanks for staying with her cheering her on!
5:44 am and we are still waiting...Cloe is doing great! She doesn't looked worn out, she has been resting well in between contractions...still smiling, and letting me wet her lips...She is digging more and getting more uncomfortable getting up and trying to find a better position...She is close...Fresh pot of coffee is on and ready for her to start pushing soon!
We are panting, and moving along...labor is in the early first stages...hoping and praying for a quick one, so Miss Cloe doesnt have a long night...She is such a GREAT momma...still in great spirits...went out for potty break and right back in her box...stayed tuned... Update on Cloe's progress...LABOR is so slow sometimes! lol She has FINALLY started going into her whelping box and is licking a lot, and ripping her paper...not too much yet, but she is starting the nesting...My GUESS is by daybreak we should have puppies! Guess I better put on a pot of coffee! looks like its gonna be a LONG night... Well we have had the big drop about noon today and her temp stayed down for several hours...still lower than usual...this is pretty much what she has done today other than the spurt of energy to chase the cat out of the backyard! No heavy panting yet, no digging, no nesting...within 24 hrs. we should start seeing puppies coming...last time she had the "drop in temp" was noon and she started pushing out pups at 4 a.m. SOOO I think we are in for a long night! But I promise I will post pictures and update before I myself go to sleep afterwards...Until then I will be right by my girls side every step of the way...:)
 So here we are on her due date and Cloe as you can see is about ready to pop! She has not been doing any nesting as of yet, and no temperature drop either...She has gotten her milk in and has lost her mucus plug so she is right on schedule...One we get the drop in temp we should have puppies within 24 hrs. of that...Trying to keep everyone up to date for now, because once she gets to moving, it might take me a bit to get everything updated with pics of the babies...hang tight, I will stay up as late as possible to make sure I get them all posted! :) She could go anytime now...her others she has gone late on day 61 into day 62, so we are day 61 and counting!
 Well, here we are waiting and Cloe is beginning to become very clingy to me...She doesnt want to leave my side...Been checking temps on her waiting for the "big drop" so we will know within 24 hrs. labor should begin...we only have a few more days!!!
Very exciting waiting on the arrival of the babies and hoping Cloe has a easy and healthy whelping of her babies...she is really enjoying her belly rubs and I've been enjoying feeling her babies kicking, moving, and stretching inside her...Stay tuned...:) |
About Me..
I'm a mom of 5 boys, all of which are grown and on their own except for my youngest that is 11 yrs. old. We live out in the country and love to spend time with our four legged children and seeing our grandpups! My husband always said I just HAVE to mother something! Wouldn't have it any other way!
