Double babies, double fun :)

Well, Emmas babies are two days old, and she is getting into the groove of things....She is still waking us up in the middle of the night just for us to come check even though every thing is fine...And Cloe is trying to adjust that her babies are not as needy as they once were and having Emma with her babies is somewhat confusing to her...But she is getting it...All of Cloe's had the first set of shots today, more de-worming and weights...Emmas babies were all weighed and gaining! Life is good in the world of 19 dogs in the puppy room :)

Well Emma was a little scared having her babies...She freaked out a bit at first but after a few of them, she was in a groove and showed she was up to the challenge. She is very good with them, and I have to make her get out to potty and eat because she just does not want to leave them! She is so happy with them! I love seeing how much joy it brings her...She comes out in the middle of the night to come get me just to show me and drag me back there...she wants me to sit with her so she can show me what a good momma she is! Had several people back out, and picked up a few...So we have plenty of her babies available...But they will all have homes soon!

We have puppies!

Well after all night of laboring, we finally have 8 beautiful puppies...I'm still waiting for a cup of java while Emma nurses and rest a bit then will take individual shots and post under available puppies...Then I will start emailing those on the list in the order they are listed...Enjoy a few group shots until a little later...Still not with it myself! :) CORRECTION went in to check on Emma and she pushed out ONE more! 9 puppies!

Early Stages

Well Emma is in the very early stages of labor and can start the hard labor and pushing puppies within the next 24 hrs. Once she starts the second part that can last up to 10 hrs. or a little more...So I'm pretty sure by day break we will have some puppies...she is doing great and resting...hasn't really eaten today which is normal...stay up to date and follow the blog and facebook page

Well just took Emmas temp, we have the DROP! now to make sure and check it again in a few hours to see if its still down...If so then we should be having her go into labor within the next 24 hrs.I guess grandma and grandpa are "nesting" gpa bleached whelping box and put tops on(had a few trying to escape) while I gave each pup a full bath! 8 Puppies in the tub was too funny! one actually fell asleep! Hoping that wore them out and they will behave while I'm helping Emma later...stay tuned for updates here or on the facebook page :)

Ok, on the last few days and keeping a close eye on Emma...She is still pretty playful with Ace, although she is resting more too...I tend to find her in this position more and more! lol

We are just waiting for the big drop in temp and then we'll know she is getting things going! It looks like she is on schedule IF mother nature does not interfere to go sometime this weekend...:) I'm hoping in the DAYTIME! ha! But we all know how that almost NEVER happens! Day 53

Well here we are on day 53 into the pregnancy and Emma is doing great...She is starting to be a little less playful, and resting more. She is really filling out and getting bigger and bigger each day. She has the waddle when she walks. Started taking her temps, but she was not having no part of the rectal thermometer so I had to go out and get the ear type so it would not stress her out. That seemed to calm her. Her due date falls on a weekend so I really hope she goes next weekend while I have extra hands here...Will keep the facebook page and the blog updated for the parents that are following and will let you know once we get the "big drop in temp" and will let us know labor and delivery should happen within the next 24 hrs. So keep a watch for updates.

Emma's pregnancy

Well, Emma is 44 days today and just a little more than two weeks to go give or take a few days...This will be her first litter so I'm a little more worried about how she will do and she has been very clingy...oh wait SHE is ALWAYS clingy! lol So only difference we see is she is getting a really big belly...She is still playful with Ace and always wanting to go see Cloe's pups...

I've been giving her belly rubs and telling her she has babies in her belly, whether she understands yet not really sure but she is loving all the extra attention...We have her waiting list that has changed some and a few people have been taken off and a few added...We do still have a few spots if interested, please send a email and get on the list early as these guys always go fast...Stay tuned for updates here and on the facebook page

About Me..

I'm a mom of 5 boys, all of which are grown and on their own except for my youngest that is 11 yrs. old. We live out in the country and love to spend time with our four legged children and seeing our grandpups! My husband always said I just HAVE to mother something! Wouldn't have it any other way!
